Hill School, Pottstown, a leader in sending grads to Harvard, Princeton, MIT
The Hill School in Pottstown is one of three schools in the Philadelphia area to lead the nation in the number of graduates that go on to Harvard, Princeton and MIT.
The three private high schools — which also include the Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square and The Haverford School of Haverford — appear on a list of 100 schools compiled by PolarisList, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The Hill School saw 13 of its students matriculate into Harvard (2), MIT (3) and Princeton (8), earning the 85th overall ranking and the top spot among Pennsylvania high schools.
Researchers focused on those three institutions because of “their selectivity and their accessibility to lower income students,” the PolarisList website explains.
