Firstrust Bank, Sixers stop by Variety Club Camp to deliver a big win for campers

By

Wilson Chandler from the Philadelphia 76ers visited The Variety Club summer camp and played basketball and kickball. Firstrust Bank also presented a $25,000 check from their summer promotion to send kids to summer camp next year.

It didn’t take Wilson Chandler long to discover one of the most uplifting locations in the Delaware Valley. Chandler was acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers in July from the Denver Nuggets.

And just recently the forward found himself already competing — in a friendly game of kickball with the campers at Variety Club Camp and Development Center in Worcester, according to a submitted press release.

And, according to Variety Club camp’s Facebook page, “Today was a slam dunk! Wilson Chandler from the Philadelphia 76ers visited us today and played basketball and kickball. It was incredible to be able to practice our skills with a professional basketball player! Firstrust Bank also presented a $25,000 check from their summer promotion to send kids to summer camp next year.”
For its summer promotion, Firstrust Bank will donate $25 to Variety anytime a customer opens a new Certificate of Deposit, checking account, or credit card.

The donation and visit to the camp was just part of the giving to Variety. Firstrust proudly donated a week of Variety camp as well as a rehabilitative trike to a 17-year-old girl, as part of  Variety – the Children’s Charity of the Delaware Valley’s equipment giveaway program .

FirstTrust also sponsored a trip for the campers to the Franklin Institute — at no cost to campers.
