Some of the Super Bowl Champion’s biggest supporters arrived under Cirque du Soleil’s Big Top at Oaks this afternoon to learn acrobatic stunts from the performers of VOLTA. Members of the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders and team mascot, SWOOP, experienced an intensive hands-on training on trapeze, Swiss rings, trampoline tricks and baton twirling.

Between stunts, Swoop and the Cheerleaders were taken on a makeup and wardrobe tour where they were given a behind-the-scenes look at the incredible costumes of VOLTA. The fabric of the show was handcrafted by Filipino American Fashion Designer, Zaldy Goco, who is famous for his work with Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears and more.

To conclude the training session, the Cheerleaders reversed roles, and led the Cirque du Soleil performers, pompoms in hand, in an E-A-G-L-E-S chant.

VOLTA plays at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks through August 19. Get your tickets at www.valleyforge.org/cirque.
