Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Assoc. (GVF) has announced that the Valley Forge Park Alliance has joined the organization’s network of public and private partners.

Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Assoc. is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1990 to focus on improving transportation and infrastructure throughout the region, according to a press release.

“GVF welcomes The Valley Forge Park Alliance as a partner. We appreciate the support of the Alliance as a new partner and we look forward to working with them towards our common goal of improving trail connections, transportation and infrastructure throughout our region,” Rob Henry, executive director, Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association said in a press release.

The Valley Forge Park Alliance was formerly known as The Friends of the Valley Forge Park and was founded in 1976. Its mission is to preserve the history of the park as well as the parks itself. The Valley Forge Park Alliance focus is to expand, promote and fund the needs of the park.

“The Valley Forge Park Alliance aims to connect the community to the park. One of the ways we’re doing that is through new trail connections. GVF brings together many organizations that are also committed to getting trails built and improving multi-modal transportation in the region. We’re excited to work together toward these shared goals,” Molly Duffy, executive director, Valley Forge Park Alliance said in the release.

By partnering with public and private organizations, Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Assoc. works to maximize awareness and develop sustainable support. The organization’s partners include: local governments, planning agencies, chambers of commerce, universities, engineering firms, elected officials, medical institutions, national parks, business improvement districts, hotels, transit providers and statewide agencies.
