The much-anticipated Hard Rock Hotel Casino Atlantic City has an opening date, and Hard Rock International officials feel confident about that set-in-stone day.

The Hard Rock casino will open on June 28, months after parent company Hard Rock International invested hundreds of millions of dollars to overhaul the former Trump Taj Mahal, writes Kenneth Hilario in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Hard Rock’s plans to turn the property into a “true entertainment destination” include moving Hard Rock Café Atlantic City to a new 400-seat venue that includes beach access, 2,400 slot machines and 130 table games, and updates to the meeting, lobby and check-in spaces.

Experts said transforming the Taj into a Hard Rock property is a win-win for the Atlantic City, a town looking to diversify its revenue sources to include more non-gaming streams.

Hard Rock has global recognition, with a presence in 75 countries and 30,000 employees, and a booking roster that includes more than 35,000 musical acts from Beyoncé to Taylor Swift.
