Main Line medical marijuana dispensary to open this week

Instead of renting cars or ordering a chocolate ice cream cone, visitors to 420 W. Lancaster Avenue in Devon will find something other sedans and milk shakes — marijuana.

The Philadelphia region’s first medical marijuana dispensary is set to open Feb. 16. Its location on the Main Line previously was home to a car rental agency and a Dairy Queen, writes John George in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Keystone Shops expects to open its second dispensary on Henderson Road in King of Prussia next month, and a third site in South Philadelphia later this year.

With an investment of $2.5 million, which covers the cost of the centers – Devon, King of Prussia and the third located in South Philadelphia, Keystone Shop researched hundreds of potential locations before settling on opening the three dispensaries.
