A key ingredient to one of the hottest restaurants in the country’s recipe for success is a dash of art.

Maybe you’ve eaten at the new Founding Farmers in King of Prussia Town Center and felt the seemingly inexplicable sensation of a warm embrace.

That’s not by accident. It’s by design, writes Rachel Riley for Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board.

“The root of why the art is so important is we’re looking for ways to essentially open the minds of our guests,” said restaurant co-owner, Dan Simons. “It’s about celebrating the makers. We’re trying to create an environment that stimulates all the senses, as well as the aura, the energy, and art is a way to do that. I believe if I can make you smile before you even take a bite, your food will taste better. I want the vibe to feel like a big hug in here.”The most booked restaurant in the United States on Open Table for five years running, Founding Farmers fills its spaces with unique interiors that include detailed original pieces of custom-made, local art to set the mood and ambiance.

The restaurant, which is majority-owned by 47,000 family farmers across the nation, connects and collaborates with regional artists through local networks and schools. The King of Prussia location includes works from six creators from the Philadelphia area, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Canada.
