A restaurant technology company has relocated its headquarters in the suburbs, a result of growing by more than 100 employees in the past year.

Sicom Systems Inc., provider of end-to-end solutions for quick-service and fast-casual restaurants, has moved its headquarters to Lansdale, Montgomery County,w rites Kenneth Hilario for Philadelphia Business Journal.

The company has moved into 100,000-square-feet of space at 1684 S. Broad St. where its more than 300 employees will work. Sicom relocated from Doylestown, Bucks County.

Sicom was founded in 1987, and its grown to having over 40,000 digital menu boards, among other technologies. Its point-of-sales systems are in more than 6,500 restaurants around the world, and Sicom has more than 10,000 restaurants using its management systems.

The company’s seen a lot of growth; Sicom added 142 new employees in the past year, according to CEO Jim Flynn, who said the company is “positioning ourselves for continued growth” based on demand for end-to-end tech solutions at quick-service and fast-casual restaurants.”

Company officials declined to comment on future hires or how the move to Lansdale would impact Sicom’s growth.

The Lansdale office includes a Customer Experience Center; an expanded, devoted area for research and development; a dedicated training facility; and collaboration spaces. It also is a solid nab for the Montgomery County town, where a mixed-use development is under construction by SEPTA’s recently revamped Lansdale Regional Rail station. The hope is the investment will encourage revitalization along Main Street, which saw businesses depart when the nearby Montgomeryville Mall arrived.
