The Philadelphia 100 is a list of privately held companies ranked by percentage growth over the last three years. While the list does not represent all of the region’s fastest-growing companies — they had to be nominated by themselves or others — its strong showing of tech firms, from digital marketing to cloud computing, reflects key sectors as Philadelphia bids for Amazon’s second headquarters, writes philly.com

The list is a joint project of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum of Greater Philadelphia and the Wharton Small Business Development Center.

Today’s fastest growing companies don’t have a secret formula to their success, however, they do share two similarities that differentiate them from the laggards.
