Fox News has tapped popular conservative talker Mark Levin to host its newest show

Levin, a longtime syndicated talk show host both Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity cite as a major influence, will host a new weekend primetime program on Fox News that will debut in 2018, writes Rob Tornoe for philly.com.

The hour-long show, titled Life, Liberty & Levin, is expected to feature legal, political and social commentary from the outspoken conservative who once served as an adviser to several members of President Ronald Reagan’s cabinet.

“I am honored to join FOX News, a network I have enjoyed appearing on as a guest for quite some time,” Levin said. “As a proud citizen of the United States, I am delighted to share the significance of American values with such a wide audience and look forward to engaging with important guests about crucial topics.”

Levin, who was born in Philadelphia and raised in Elkins Park, is popular in conservative circles thanks to his long-running nationally-syndicated radio talk show, which airs locally on News Talk 990 AM WNTP. The show is the third largest nationally syndicated radio program in the country, airing on over 300 stations nationally.

Levin created a stir recently when his said President Obama wiretapped Trump Tower during the presidential campaign, a claim the New York Times referred to as “a conspiratorial rant” and the Washington Post’s fact checker rated with Four-Pinocchios.
