Thompson Organization Expands In Montgomery County
The Thompson Organization has opened a new dealership for Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus off the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Willow Grove in Montgomery County, writes Diane Mastrull for Philly.com.
The new 42,000-square-foot dealership will feature several high-tech innovations. This includes screens in its cafe that will provide real-time updates on the progress of every vehicle through sales and servicing. Glass privacy panels with images of waterfalls will also help reduce customer anxiety.
“It’s all about the experience,” said Laura Thompson Barnes, vice president of the Thompson Organization.

Barnes, who is daughter of the company’s founder Jack Thompson, has brought a much needed woman’s point of view to the company. This is essential, as over half of all car purchases today are made by women.
In addition, close to 85 percent of all vehicle purchase decisions are influenced by women, said Kevin Mazzucola, executive director of the Auto Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia.
Barnes added that branching out into Willow Grove was a no-brainer, as more than half of the company’s customers who buy cars in Doylestown live close to Willow Grove.
“With the opening of Lexus Willow Grove, we anticipate a 32 percent increase in total revenues for the Thompson Organization.”
