John Lukens from Plymouth Meeting is the first person in Pennsylvania to receive a non-invasive brain procedure to treat Essential Tremor, writes Lynne Adkins for CBS Philly.

The sixty-one-year old suffers from the movement disorder that makes everyday tasks almost impossible. To fix this, Pennsylvania Hospital doctors used ultrasound waves to target the portion of his brain that was causing the tremors.

Lukens said that the shaking stopped immediately. “It was like turning a switch on and off, it changed everything.”
