Expert Technology Associates to Implement Comcast’s SD-WAN

Plymouth Meeting’s Expert Technology Associates is planning to make full use of Comcast’s new SD-WAN to benefit its customers, writes Gina Narcisi for CRN.
A number of ETA’s customers are already considering switching to SD-WAN. When combined with Comcast’s Gigabit speeds, the new SD-WAN system will be very attractive to businesses looking to move applications to the cloud.
ETA already offers SD-WAN solutions to its enterprise customers in partnerships with SD-WAN pure-play providers. However, it believes that the incoming SD-WAN system from Comcast could be the perfect fit for more than 60 percent of its customers.
Comcast is in the process of beta-testing an SD-WAN product in collaboration with Versa Networks. This will help it make full use of its range of connectivity options from broadband and fiber-based Ethernet services.
“Customers are looking for a truly ubiquitous play,” said Bill Quinlan, founding partner of ETA. “Comcast has a little bit of a leg up because they have the big bandwidth that these customers are looking at. Once customers get their hands on this, they aren’t going to go backwards.”
