Ed Harris, the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board, recently appeared on an episode of Comcast Newsmakers to discuss the new technology being used to highlight Montgomery County.

Particularly, Harris highlighted the Snap Montco Tourism Campaign that utilizes the increasingly popular Snapchat Spectacles and encourages people to document the best places to experience Montgomery County.

“Montgomery County is on fire right now … in a good way,” Harris told host Jill Horner.

“We have LEGOLAND Discovery Center opening up in Plymouth Meeting. We have multimillion-dollar investments being made into our family zoo, Elmwood Park. Lots of great restaurants have come to Montgomery county lately.”

“As an organization, we surpassed 500 member businesses, and we’re just trying to ride that tech wave.”

Harris also recently made the Philadelphia Business Journal’s prestigious 40 Under 40 list, which aims to identify and recognize current and future leaders in various industries and in the community. More than 400 nominations were received this year, more than any prior year.

The list recognizes young professionals in Greater Philadelphia for outstanding success and contributions to their community. They represent some the region’s most entrepreneurial and influential up-and-comers.

The Journal will host an event honoring the class on the evening of May 11 at the Event Center at SugarHouse Casino. On May 12, it will publish a 40 Under 40-themed issue that highlights each winner’s credentials.
