Broadway Welcomes New Rising Star from Lower Merion
Lower Merion High School graduate Gideon Glick has successfully grown from small roles such as playing a court jester in suburban theaters to a breakout role at Broadway’s Booth Theater, writes David Patrick Stearns for Philly.com.
The show focuses on a chronically single gay man played by Glick, who has to bid his best female friends goodbye as each of them gets married.
The run of 79 Broadway performances ended last Sunday, but drew the attention of Vanity Fair which did a feature on the 28-year-old actor’s performance and the show as a whole.

“He didn’t have a formal acting coach. He was ‘discovered’ ” said Sarah Gallagher, an acting coach who worked with him at Lower Merion High. “He was allowed to progress in the way he was meant to.“
Next up for the actor is to shoot one last scene for the star studded film Ocean’s 8. Glick was called back after the movie wrapped shooting to add more meat to his small role of an entitled tech guy working at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
“I’ve had really wonderful successes and really crummy lows,” Glick said, “and I never expect that to go away.”
