Many Philadelphia suburbs are attracting the next generation of residents through high-end housing, hot retail projects, and abundant amenities with Conshohocken and Ardmore leading the charge, according to a staff report from Philadelphia Magazine.

The two Montgomery County towns have been included in the 10 Hottest Suburban Philadelphia Towns, published by Philadelphia Magazine.

Conshohocken, which has seen an uptick in home value over the last five years of 12 percent, is benefitting from innovative residential and commercial projects.

One such project, Keystone Property Group’s SORA West, is a development that includes two office towers, retail, outdoor dining, a rooftop lounge, green space and a hotel on a five-acre parcel.

“Conshohocken is one of the most desirable office locations in the suburbs,” said Keystone partner Richard Gottlieb.

Meanwhile, Ardmore has seen its leaders work overtime to make it one of the trendiest locations over the last decade.

These efforts are paying off, as new additions such as Ardmore Music Hall and brewpubs like Tired Hands Brewing Company have brought new life to the center.

The town also offers potential newcomers a robust and pedestrian-friendly downtown which is one of the main priorities for today’s buyers.
