Former O’Neill Site in Bala Cynwyd Back on Market after Development Project Falls Through

The former O’Neill site on Rock Hill Road in Bala Cynwyd is back on the market after an already approved mixed-use development project falls through.

Despite already being approved for a mixed-use development project, the former O’Neill site on Rock Hill Road in Bala Cynwyd is back on the market, writes Richard Ilgenfritz for Main Line Times.

The project for four four-story buildings with underground parking decks had been proposed by Brian O’Neill, the owner of O’Neill Properties. But despite groundbreaking and some preliminary work that took place several years ago, it never materialized.

Any hopes that the project still might move forward were dashed on Monday, as Kevin Flynn Sr. of The Flynn Company, confirmed that his company has the 8.2-acre property at 131 Rock Hill Road up for sale.

Flynn commented that no price is currently listed for the site, but they have sent out information to the capital markets looking for potential buyers.

“We’ve had a lot of inquiries and we’re just answering a lot of the questions people have right now,” said Flynn. “Probably in a month or so we should be getting ready to finalize a sale.”
