Fort Washington tech company GLOBO has risen to the top of the Philadelphia-area companies included in Inc. magazine’s list of the 5,000 fastest growing companies in America this year, writes Michelle Caffrey for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

GLOBO showed just how fast it is growing by moving up from 672nd last year to 118th. GLOBO, which provides translation and technology services, grew its revenue by 2.844 percent between 2012 and 2015 bringing in $5.6 million in revenue in 2015.

Gene Shriver, GLOBO’s CEO, said that being first among all the regional companies included on the list is a sign of the health and vitality of the area’s tech industry.

“Our overwhelming growth over the last three years is testament to our vision and steadfast commitment to making communication easy across languages,” said Schriver. “Being No. 1 in Philly as a tech company also shows how thriving the scene is here, and we will continue to hire incredible local talent to support our growth.”
