The Philadelphia Cricket Club's Wissahickon Course in Flourtown will host the Constellation Senior Players Championship in June.

As part of this year’s Constellation Senior Players Championship in golf, nine nonprofit organizations from Greater Philadelphia will receive grants totaling $500,000, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The golf tournament will take place at the Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Wissahickon Course in Flourtown from June 9-12. The main sponsor of the event is Exelon Corps. subsidiary Constellation, which is a retail supplier of power, natural gas, and other energy products and services.

The nine charities that have been selected for this year’s grants provide services that are of benefit to the larger community in areas of education, youth development, affordable housing, as well as health care.

The recipients of the grants for 2016 are the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, the Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic, Back on My Feet, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, The First Tee of Greater Philadelphia, Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA, the Headstrong Foundation, and the Philadelphia Outward Bound School.

Since 1992, the Constellation Senior Players Championship has donated more than $10 million to charity.
