Baking a Difference for Kids
Baking a Difference for Kids is a youth-led initiative supporting children’s mental health through baking and acts of care. Award-winning student and baker, Sarah Kokas began baking birthday cakes when she was only 10 years old for children in emergency shelters.
Now a growing regional initiative, it helps families celebrate with dignity through projects like You Matter Birthday Bags, which has distributed hundreds of cake kits.
Community partnerships, including a fundraiser benefiting Family Promise of the Main Line, continue to expand its impact.
