Want to work somewhere that actually walks the walk? Montgomery County Community College is hiring.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to make a career move, this might be it.
MCCC isn’t your average employer. It’s been named one of the most promising places to work in community colleges nine times by NISOD and Diverse: Issues in Higher Education. It’s an Achieving the Dream Leader College, a sustainability standout, and a nationally recognized advocate for veterans and underserved students. More than 24,000 students a year come through its doors — and the people who work there are a big reason why.
At MCCC, collaboration, communication, and community intersect to drive student success and employee growth. Faculty, staff, and administrators are united by a shared mission: making a real difference for students, for the community, and for each other. It’s the kind of place where your work has a name on it — and that name is the next student who graduated, got the job, or changed their life.
The benefits don’t hurt either. Eligible employees enjoy tuition assistance at MCCC and other higher education institutions, paid parental leave, free access to the College’s state-of-the-art fitness center, professional development opportunities, and more.
And right now, MCCC is looking for a seasoned finance leader to help keep it all running.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who’s genuinely excited about the intersection of financial integrity and institutional mission.

You’ll work alongside college leadership, the Board of Trustees, external auditors, and state agencies, and you’ll have real influence over how the institution stewards its resources.
The ideal candidate brings a master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA preferred), at least 10 years of progressive financial management experience, and a track record of leading audits and teams in complex environments.
