When it comes to celebrating Independence Day, Montgomery County doesn’t hold back.
From historic Valley Forge to charming small-town main streets, Montco is packed with fireworks, parades, festivals, and family-friendly fun all weekend long.
Here’s everything happening — and where to be for each one.
Conshohocken: Fireworks on July 3
Get a head start on the holiday with an epic fireworks display lighting up Conshohocken Borough on Thursday, July 3, at approximately 9:15 PM.
The show is large enough to be seen from most vantage points throughout the borough. Just note that Sutcliffe Park and the surrounding areas will be closed during the display.
Ambler: A Full Week of Carnival Fun
The Ambler Kiwanis Carnival runs nightly June 30 through July 4 at Wissahickon High School from 6-10:00 PM, with rides, games, and classic carnival food. The fireworks show — one of the best in the area — takes place Thursday, July 2, with July 3 as the rain date.
Skippack Village: Parade, BBQ, and Fireworks
Historic Skippack Village pulls out all the stops on July 4 with a parade at 11:00 AM, a BBQ at Parc Bistro at 3:00 PM, and fireworks at dusk. Parking is available at Palmer Park for $20 per car, cash only, with additional parking at FHY.
King of Prussia: Festival and Fireworks at Heuser Park
Upper Merion’s annual Fourth of July celebration at Heuser Park runs from 3-10:00 PM and delivers a full day of fun: carnival rides, food vendors including Cousins Maine Lobster, Conshohocken Brewing Co., and Petrucci’s Ice Cream, live music from SideArm starting at 5:30 PM, and fireworks at dusk around 9:15 PM.
This event is free and open to the public and dog-friendly with a leash.
Narberth: Carnival, Concert, and a Declaration Reading
Narberth Park hosts family fun starting at 10:00 AM with carnival games, a dunk tank, and a pie-eating contest.
Return in the evening for a concert, a live reading of the Declaration of Independence, Philly food trucks, and fireworks starting around 9:00 PM.
Arrive early to claim your spot — blankets are not permitted on the field until 6:00 PM.
Valley Forge National Historical Park: A Double Anniversary
This year’s celebration at Valley Forge carries extra meaning. The park marks its own 50th anniversary alongside the nation’s 250th, with special commemorative programs and events on July 3, 4, and 5.
All events are free to attend. While you’re there, check in on the Montco History Pass to earn points toward a prize.
Pottstown: 5K, Parade, Street Fest, and Fireworks
Pottstown goes big all day.
Kick things off at 8:00 AM with the 40th Annual Patriotic 5K at the corner of Beech and Grant Streets, then line up for the Rotary Parade at 10:15 AM, which features a special reading of the Declaration of Independence presented by Montgomery County Community College.
The GoFourth Street Fest on High Street runs from 3-9:30 PM, with live music, a kids’ zone, food trucks, and a beer garden, followed by fireworks at 9:30 PM.
