Univest Financial Corp. has secured naming rights for La Salle University’s fieldhouse through a ten-year deal, establishing the Souderton-based company as the university’s official banking partner, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The school’s primary athletics facility will now be known as the Univest Financial Fieldhouse. It houses the home venue for men’s and women’s basketball programs, swimming and diving teams, and acrobatics and tumbling. The building also includes the student-athlete Academic Achievement Center, strength and conditioning facilities, and sports medicine, while frequently hosting other major university events.
The fieldhouse’s naming rights were previously held by Fort Washington-based TruMark Credit Union. The financial details of the new deal were not disclosed.
Univest branding will be prominently displayed throughout the building, including on the exterior, interior signage, and on-court elements. The exclusive banking partnership will further support financial education programming, campus engagement initiatives, and specialized banking services for students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
“Our ability to get ourselves in front of and hopefully grow a younger customer base is critical, and we believe this provides us one of those avenues,” said Univest President Mike Keim.
