Check Out These Towns That Offer the Most Expensive Homes in Chester County

West Chester is one of the most popular places to live in the county, and the home prices reflect that.

A new ranking from Stacker has compiled a list of cities in Pennsylvania with the most expensive homes, and Chester County towns are among some of the priciest.

To determine the rankings, Stacker used data from Zillow. They are ranked by the Zillow Home Values Index as of March 2026.

At the top of the list, Devon takes second place with a typical home value of $983,068. This is a 6.8 percent increase over one year and 44.9 percent increase over five years.

Berwyn is close behind at No. 3 with a home value of $953,366. This is 5.8 percent increase over one year and 41.5 percent increase over five years.

At No. 8, Malvern has a median home value of $792,706, with a 3.2 percent increase over one year and 35.5 percent increase over five years. Chester Springs is at No. 9 with $758,465, a 2.2 percent increase over one year and 40.1 percent over five years.

Glenmoore takes No. 19 with a median home value of $673,643. This is a 4.7 percent increase over one year and 40 percent increase over five years. West Chester is at No. 20 with a median home value of $657,113, a one year increase of 2.6 percent and five year increase of 35.9 percent.

Paoli ranks No. 23 with a typical home value of $625,862. Kennett Square is No. 24 with a typical home price of $620,982, and Exton comes in at No. 25 with a home value of $616,175.

Avondale comes in a No. 27 with a value of $605,142. Downingtown rounds out the list at No. 29 with a typical home value of $584,261.
