
CCRES is hiring a part-time, dedicated Mental Health Technician to provide intensive, child-centered therapeutic services in the home and in community settings.
This position supports students in developing motivation, adaptive skills, and coping strategies to improve school attendance and success.
The successful candidate will serve clients through the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) Advanced Clinical Services Attend Program, delivering individualized and family-focused psychotherapy services.
Essential Responsibilities
- Work takes place in the early morning hours during the school week, one hour a day in a home setting, before school hours to help a student transition from home to school; typically between 6 and 8 AM.
- The Mental Health Technician will implement a Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSB) to support school attendance for school-age students.
- Services will be provided for an extended period of weeks or months, working to transfer coping skills and interventions to a parent or caregiver with the oversight of a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA).
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related human services study is required.
- It is preferred that a candidate be currently enrolled in a Master’s level program in a related human services study.
- Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and a car are required.
Credentials
- Current clearances within 12 months–PA Child Abuse (Act 151), PA Criminal Act (Act 34), PA Department of Education FBI Use Code 1KG6XN, TB Screening (within three months), Diploma or Official Transcripts. Paid clearances and TB Screening.
