Part-time Administrative Support Secretary, ACT 101 (Temporary, Grant-Funded)

The Part-time Administrative Support Secretary will report directly to the Manager, Wellness Center. Responsibilities will include providing administrative/secretarial support to the Program Manager and staff. Additionally, this position will be responsible for maintaining accurate student files and records, collecting data for reporting purposes, and providing general clerical and administrative support for the successful functioning of the ACT 101 program.

The position requires working independently on many activities and should be reliable, have an interactive personality, and be committed to always maintaining confidentiality. Evening, Saturday, and weekend hours as needed with travel between Blue Bell and Pottstown campuses for events.

**This position is contingent upon grant funding. The ACT 101 grant expires on Jun. 31, 2026, with potential for renewal.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED required, with two years of work-related experience required, or an associate’s degree may be preferred in a scientific discipline.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, and excellent communication, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of specific software or process.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to multitask, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, to use some discretion and judgment, and the ability to work within a team-oriented setting.

Student Accounting Administrator

The Student Accounting Administrator is responsible for performing and providing assistance to those staff members performing accounts receivable functions at both Blue Bell and Pottstown Campuses.

The successful daily financial functions, as well as the day-to-day operational activities related to student payments, billing, and refunds.

**A credit history check is required before the first day begins.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related area is highly preferred; an associate’s degree (or credit equivalent) is required.
  • A minimum of two years of applicable experience is required.
  • Experience with automated accounting systems
  • Knowledge of fiscal controls related to the safeguarding of institutional funds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Ellucian Colleague, Internet, email, database, spreadsheet, and word processing.
  • Excellent administrative, oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations and stressful situations.
  • Flexible schedule (i.e., weekends and late hours) during peak registration and payment periods, and as necessary to ensure appropriate coverage.
