The Haunted Elks Lodge #714 in Bridgeport returns this October, offering seasonal frights and thrills for all who are brave enough to visit, reports Bob Kelly for FOX 29 Philadelphia.
The lodge has been transforming into a haunted house for the spooky season for over 25 years.
Preparations for the haunted house begin in July to ensure it is ready for visitors when October arrives. The attraction welcomes guests on Friday and Saturday nights from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The tour is accompanied by appropriately spooky music, which sets the tone from the start. The haunted area is set in the building’s basement, which gives it an extra eerie atmosphere. It then winds through several rooms, each elaborately decorated with frightening props and surprises, including a chilling coffin.
“The coffin is empty, I don’t know if that’s good or bad,” joked Kelly during a walkthrough.
Admission requires a $15 donation. A themed t-shirt is $15, or $25 total when purchased together with entry.
Watch the entire segment on Bridgeport’s Elk Lodge #714 at FOX 29 Philadelphia.
