Delaware Valley businesses got a look down the fairway of audiovisual technology recently at the HavaTech Showcase presented by Haverford Systems at Topgolf in King of Prussia.
The late-August event featured a wide variety of vendors in the A/V space who were there to share their future-ready products, technology, and services with dozens of IT leaders and technology professionals from major corporations, universities, and healthcare organizations, as well as several industry partners.
“We really value these opportunities to share what’s current and coming down the road from our partners in A/V technology,” said Shawn Thornton, a Sales Manager at Haverford Systems. “It’s an amazing way to not only connect with the vendors we work with every day, but to also reach the decision-makers from local companies and institutions and help them understand the cool technology that’s available to them.”
An Abundance of Tech
Among the vendors were representatives from companies like Shure, Atlas IED, AVPro Edge, Barco, Digital Projection, PTZOptics, Q-SYS, Salamander Designs, Strongarm, and WilliamsAV.
Attendees experienced firsthand technologies such as:
- Auracast Bluetooth transmitters, designed to provide hearing support and ADA compliance for auditoriums and other public spaces
- Strongarm telehealth workstations, which incorporate cameras and monitors with a variety of healthcare tools such as digital thermometers and EKG monitors
- Hive Studio, a web-based camera control and production platform designed to maximize collaboration from anywhere with an internet connection
- Q-SYS platform, which provides a fully integrated audio, video, and control solution for installations with a mixture of analog and network channels
A Look at the Future
“The HavaTech Showcase is an opportunity to not just get an idea of what technology is available to these various markets, but it’s important to remember that the end goal of all of these products is to help businesses and organizations improve their workflow,” Thornton said. “As the organizers of the event, Haverford Systems hopes to serve as a connector and resource for these companies. Our relationships with the top manufacturers in the A/V industry allow businesses to get the best technology at the best price.”
In addition to learning about the latest in A/V technology, attendees enjoyed complimentary food and drinks and the opportunity to take a few swings in one of Topgolf’s high-tech golf bays.
