Hanrok Ji, a former student at Blue Bell Elementary, was surprised with tickets to Super Bowl LX in February at Levi’s Stadium during a special all-school assembly, writes Cherise Lynch for NBC10 Philadelphia.
The surprise came from the American Heart Association, which partnered with the NFL Foundation to award the tickets to one student for completing its Hands-Only CPR education module. This is designed to teach students how to respond properly in a cardiac emergency.
“The program is part of a national effort to increase CPR awareness and education, supported by the NFL Foundation,” said American Heart Association officials. “Hanrok’s selection highlights the importance of equipping young people with the confidence and skills to save lives.”
Five students from around the country were nominated for Super Bowl tickets, and Ji emerged as the lucky winner from the group.
The surprise then became even more special when Philadelphia Eagles players, cheerleaders, and Swoop joined in to dance and celebrate with the boy.
