Educational Partnerships Success Coach

The Educational Partnerships Success Coach plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success and retention of Dual Enrollment students. By providing comprehensive support and guidance, the Success Coach helps students navigate their first college experience effectively.

Key responsibilities include building strong relationships with current Dual Enrollment students, guiding new Dual Enrollment students, supporting graduating students, and assisting the Dual Enrollment team with enrollment, registration, and events. This position has college-wide responsibilities and requires travel among all campuses and off-site locations.

*This position requires the PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA State Police Check, and FBI Fingerprints as a condition of employment.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One to two years’ experience working in a student success environment is required.
  • Ability to travel, work nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity.
  • Evidence of strong presentation, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Understanding of the Community College mission/philosophy, practice, and population.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with administrative computer hardware and software.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated experience working with Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) tools to support student success and retention.

Reading Instructor/Assistant Professor

The Reading Instructor/Assistant Professor assigns courses in a manner that facilitates student learning and mastery of course material. Faculty also participate in course and curriculum development, program and course assessment, student
advisement, college service, and professional development.

*This position requires the candidate to obtain the PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances before their start date.
**This position will have college-wide teaching responsibilities that include being assigned to instruct at the Blue Bell, Pottstown, Lansdale, Conshohocken, virtual campus, and/or offsite locations. The primary office location will be the Blue Bell campus.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:

  • A master’s degree in Reading, Reading Education, Literacy, English, Education, or a closely related field, with appropriate college-level teaching experience from an accredited institution, is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduates of all abilities.
  • Community College teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to accommodate students with various skill levels and learning needs in order to address specific reading challenges.
  • Ability to provide constructive and actionable feedback on student reading comprehension, critical thinking, and written responses to texts.
  • Demonstrated expertise in reading pedagogy, including diagnostic assessment, reading strategies for comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student engagement in reading courses to enhance retention and timely progress to degree completion.
  • Evidence of continued professional growth and development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the use of innovative instructional techniques and technologies, and the use of course management systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to the use of a variety of teaching activities to address diverse learning styles.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the incorporation of information literacy resources, technology, research, writing, and culturally diverse perspectives into the curriculum.
  • Knowledge of competency-based education preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continual assessment of the teaching-learning process.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations, such as under-resourced groups and first-generation students.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a comprehensive community college philosophy.
