Frosty Falls is a popular ice cream destination in Bridgeport, known by locals for serving some of the region’s best and most creative ice cream, writes Timothy Walton for 6abc.
“They don’t have to go far to have the best stuff in the world,” said owner Laura Houck.
The award-winning parlor serves a creative selection of sundaes, such as the “59,” themed after Houck’s favorite football team’s championship season.
Houck prepares gigantic homemade brownies that form the base of her Half-Baked Sundae, while her version of a chipwich features two freshly made cookies pressed around soft serve ice cream. The strawberry crunch at Frosty Falls captures the flavors of a classic strawberry éclair in sundae form. A local favorite, the Holy Moly Canoli, puts the traditional Italian dessert at the heart of a sundae Houck perfected over two months to achieve the ideal taste.
Frosty Falls also offers water ice, dairy-free options, and CBD-infused flavors. Iced coffees are available as well.
For those not in the mood for something sweet, Houck prepares savory treats such as mac and cheese, pretzels, and mozzarella sticks.
