Atlanta-based Pulte Homes has purchased an 18-acre site in Upper Dublin for $12.2 million and plans to build 72 townhomes on the property, writes Paul Schwedelson for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The developer, a subsidiary of Pulte Group, acquired the vacant land at 1840 Norristown Road near Welsh Road and Limekiln Pike from Jenkintown-based Goodman Properties following a seven-year approval process in Upper Dublin Township.
The transaction closed in late April.
The Maple Glen Pointe attached townhomes, located within Upper Dublin School District, are expected to start in the mid-$700,000 range, according to Pulte Homes Northeast Corridor Division President John Evans.
“I believe there will be a lot of pent-up demand for high-quality new construction in a high-quality school district with a great commuting location,” said Evans. “We’re trying to be very disciplined to be in locations where, no matter what the market conditions are, people want to live.”
Homes will range from roughly 2,500 square feet to 2,600 square feet and include three to four bedrooms.
The community will feature 21 buildings, each with three to four attached homes, along with a walking trail.
For more details on the deal, what sets this community apart, and why Pulte believes demand will soar—read the full story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
