MCCC, Faculty and Support Staff Associations Sign Contract Extension Agreements

Montgomery County Community College (MCCC), the MCCC Faculty Union (Pennsylvania Federation of Teachers AFT Local #04272, AFL-CIO), and the MCCC Support Staff Union (Support Staff Assembly, Local #4316, Pennsylvania Federation of Teachers AFT AFL-CIO) signed agreements to extend both 2022-2026 contracts during the public Board of Trustees meeting on May 12.

The collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with the Faculty Union was originally set to expire at midnight on Aug. 31, 2026. Following discussions, the College and the Faculty Union agreed to a one-year extension agreement that includes wage increases effective Sept. 1, 2026.

All other terms of the CBA will remain in effect through midnight on Jun. 30, 2027. The wage increases for the 2026-2027 academic year are as follows:

· Full-time faculty will receive a 3.5 percent increase to their base salary for the 2026-2027 academic year.

· The hourly rate for probationary part-time counselors, librarians, professional advisors, and professional tutors will increase to $38.52.

· The hourly rate for regular part-time counselors, librarians, professional advisors, and professional tutors will increase to $39.37.

· The hourly rate for senior part-time counselors, librarians, professional advisors, and professional tutors will increase to $40.89.

· Probationary part-time faculty assigned to teach part-time will be paid $1,496.98 per semester hour.

· Regular part-time faculty assigned to teach part-time will be paid $1,535.51 per semester hour.

· Senior part-time faculty assigned to teach part-time will be paid $1,615.06 per semester hour.

The collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with the Support Staff Union was originally set to expire at midnight on Jun. 30, 2026. Following discussions, the College and the Support Staff Union entered into a one-year extension agreement providing for a 3.75 percent wage increase for the 2026-2027 academic year. All other terms of the CBA will remain in effect through midnight on Jun. 30, 2027.
