The Hatboro-Horsham School District is preparing to bid farewell to the building that educated generations of local students as Keith Valley Middle School, writes Dino Ciliberti for the Patch.
A special event called Farewell to the Old Keith Valley will happen before the new $125 million middle school opens in September. The farewell open house will be on June 14, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“The halls that have shaped generations of students will soon be just memories as we prepare to say goodbye to our beloved Keith Valley Middle School building,” said school officials. “This is your chance to walk those familiar corridors one last time, peek into your old classrooms, and reconnect with the place where so many friendships and memories were created. Whether you graduated decades ago or just a few years back, come share your stories, reconnect, and celebrate the legacy of this special place.”
The new school will be on Meetinghouse Road, behind the current school.
School officials chose to build a new school rather than renovate, based on several studies showing this was the best option.
