Tucked away on a quiet plot in Schwenksville, Limerick Homegrown Produce & Trading Post is a vibrant, family-run farm cultivating vegetables and community, writes Leigh Green for PA Eats.
Operated by Michael Panamarenko and Jessica Kanagie alongside their three daughters, this PA Preferred and USDA Certified Organic farm is a rainbow-hued patch of Montgomery County that produces everything from heirloom tomatoes and gourmet lettuce mixes to raw wildflower honey and fresh-cut flowers.
Known for their commitment to organic practices and a farm stand brimming with seasonal bounty, Limerick Homegrown also supplies area farmers markets and offers CSA shares for those looking to eat local all season long. Fan favorites include juicy Cherokee Purple and Black Zebra tomatoes, sweet crunchy carrots, and their lesser-seen hit: locally grown ginger.
“We built the farm from the ground up with no outside help,” says Panamarenko. “A real dedication to the passion of farming.”
Their produce isn’t just healthy—it’s rooted in purpose. Customers keep coming back not only for the flavor, but for the authenticity and heart behind every harvest.
