Four New Bar-Restaurant Projects Coming to Philadelphia Suburbs, Including One in New Hope

The post-pandemic growth spurt in the region’s restaurant scene is continuing with four new bar-restaurant projects in the Philadelphia suburbs, including one in New Hope, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Cousins Frank Picone and Anthony Adragna, both seasoned veterans in the restaurant business, are set to open Cugini’s in the space that was previously occupied by New Hope Star Diner on Route 202 in Solebury Township. They are already looking forward to bringing their decades of experience to a new dining destination.

The pair are currently renovating the property, located just south of New Hope, transforming it into a 135-seat Italian kitchen and bar.

The new eatery will be “between high-end/couples’ night out and family-friendly,” said Adragna.

The cousins – or “Cugini,” as the name of their upcoming establishment reflects – are excited to open their doors sometime this summer, bringing a new experience to the area.

They have recently filed an application for a liquor license, which currently goes for about $375,000 in Bucks County.

Read more about Cugini’s opening in New Hope later this month in The Philadelphia Inquirer.
