The Arc of Chester County announces a heartwarming new partnership with Partners in Outreach, a local nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children in Chester County and its surrounding communities.
This inspiring collaboration was made possible through the vision and commitment of Maryanne Parsons, a long-time volunteer and supporter of The Arc of Chester County, and the founder and president of Partners in Outreach.
This new alliance reflects a shared mission to enrich lives through inclusive support, joyful experiences, and community connection.
Partners in Outreach, a fully volunteer-run organization, works to close literacy gaps, promote summer camp participation, and enhance holiday and cultural celebrations for children throughout the region. Maryanne Parsons’ involvement with both organizations created a natural bridge for this new partnership to flourish.
For their first collaborative effort, Operation Easter Basket, Partners in Outreach approached The Arc of Chester County with a heartfelt proposal: to make this year’s Easter celebration more joyous and inclusive for all children in The Arc’s preschool program, their siblings, and the families served by The Arc.
Volunteers assembled and delivered hundreds of thoughtful Easter baskets tailored specifically for children with disabilities, while also including age-appropriate gifts for siblings and adult clients served by The Arc.
“Thanks to the loving support of Partners in Outreach and their many volunteers, Arc families and clients felt supported, and celebrated this holiday season,” shared Jeanne Meikrantz, Arc of Chester County CEO.
“Partners in Outreach is honored to bring a little Easter Magic to the amazing children and families at The Arc of Chester County. Seeing joy on their faces reminds us why we do what we do. It’s a privilege to support such a meaningful organization, “ expressed Maryanne Parsons, President and Founder of Partners In Outreach.
This initiative marks just the beginning of this exciting partnership grounded in inclusion, empathy, and action. The Arc of Chester County and Partners in Outreach are already in discussions about future opportunities to collaborate, bringing even more joy and support to the individuals and families they mutually serve.
Since 1952, The Arc of Chester County has been a beacon of advocacy, education, and support for individuals with disabilities and their families.
Serving over 3,000 individuals annually, The Arc provides essential services including preschool programs, home services, community support, and employment opportunities.
The Arc of Chester County is the non-profit beneficiary of VISTA NextGen Superstars—a prestigious program recognizing 40 young professionals under 40 in Chester County.
The Arc of Chester County will be honored at the VISTA Awards Reception and Celebration on May 8 at the Penn State Great Valley Conference Center.
