The Philadelphia Eagles gifted Ryan Quigley, survivor of the New Year’s terror attack in New Orleans, the trip of a lifetime—tickets to Super Bowl LIX, report Tom Ignudo and Jim McHugh for CBS Philadelphia.
In a video released Thursday, Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham surprised The Lansdale Catholic grad at the NovaCare Complex with tickets to the rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Quigley and his best friend, Tiger Bech, both Princeton University graduates, were victims of the Bourbon Street attack, where a truck plowed into a crowd, killing 14, including Bech. The two attended every Eagles home game in 2023, vowing to go to the Super Bowl if the team made it.
Now, Quigley is honoring Bech’s memory by bringing a piece of him to the game in the city where tragedy struck.
“He would love nothing more than to be there,” Quigley said.”And I’m going to make sure he’s there with us, you know? I’m sharing his story. That’s my calling.”
Graham emphasized the significance of Quigley returning to New Orleans, offering that he wanted to help him conquer his fears.
