Months after listing Georgine’s in Bristol Township for sale, the owners have decided to keep the popular restaurant and focus on expanding it, writes Michele Haddon for the Bucks County Courier Times

“We got a couple of credible offers, but when push came to shove, we asked ourselves, ‘Are we really ready to walk out of here and be done with it?’” said executive chef Dave Reifsneider, who co-owns the business with Michael Nagle, one of its original founders. “And we realized we weren’t quite ready right now.”

Reifsneider and Nagle were also inspired to give up the sale by what Reifsneider called “an infusion of energy.”

“Staffing is much improved,” he said. “We have a good, strong crew, some really good guys in the kitchen, a couple of really good chefs who took the pressure off of me, which made it a lot more fun to come to work.”

The two owners and their spouses, Rosie Reifsneider and Kim Nagle, now plan to open Georgine’s Express, a takeout spot across from the restaurant, offering fresh, convenient meals, including hot platters, sandwiches, and soups. It is expected to open by the end of the year.
