Lori Shapiro has stood by Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s side ever since his teenage years, supporting him throughout his rise to the Governor’s Residence.

Lori Shapiro has stood by Pennsylvania Governor and Upper Dublin native Josh Shapiro’s side ever since his teenage years, supporting him throughout his rise to the Governor’s Residence, writes Rebecca Aizin for People.

The couple have been married for 27 years and have four children together – Sophia, Jonah, Max, and Reuben.

Shapiro is a native Pennsylvanian. She grew up in Bucks County and attended Akiba Hebrew Academy. After graduating, she attended Colgate University in New York.

She started her career at an information technology consulting firm while she pursued a master’s in science, technology, and public policy from George Washington University.

After graduating, she opted for a career in politics. She worked in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy during the Clinton administration.

She and her husband met in high school. They separated during college, but reconnected after graduation when both were working in Washington, D.C. They got married on May 25, 1997, at a wedding hall in Bucks County.

Shapiro supported her husband’s 2022 gubernatorial campaign by joining him on the road. She was also by his side in November 2022 after he was elected as governor and has regularly joined him at public appearances since.
