Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) is seeking applications for the following positions: Building Maintenance Supervisor, Dean of Students, Student Services Assistant, Part-Time Temporary Grants Administrator and Coordinator, and Part-Time Reference Librarian.
Building Maintenance Supervisor
The Building Maintenance Supervisor of the Facilities Management Department is structured to maintain the building assets of the College and to keep the buildings to a level of standard condition identified as, APPA level 4 or higher. Equipment failures are minimal and preventive maintenance is comprehensive. This role functions as a working supervisor.
*This position has college-wide responsibilities that require travel between campuses and offsite
locations. The primary office location is the Blue Bell campus.
*This position requires the selected candidate to submit the Child Abuse Clearance, the PA State Police Check, and the FBI Fingerprint check to HR before the first day of employment.
*This position requires a drug screening as part of the employment process.
Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required. Graduate of a post-secondary program in the appropriate mechanical field and/or a degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Four years of experience in commercial building maintenance work with at least two years in a supervisory capacity, which included budgeting, planning, and scheduling of work is required. Must have demonstrated proficiency in painting, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
- The preferred candidate will have a working knowledge of APPA standards and baselines for quality.
- Certification in any trade organization, or nationally recognized engineering or maintenance body is preferred.
- EPA Universal Certification for handling refrigerant is preferred.
- Experience with building Energy Management Systems, Siemens preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Must be willing to travel between campuses, as well as work nights, weekends, and holidays based on college needs.

Dean of Students
The Dean of Students designs, leads, and regularly assesses the holistic student experience for all students. The Dean of Students leads College-wide retention initiatives for all students and delivers student engagement experiences aligned with the College’s Strategic Enrollment Plan. The Dean of Students works in collaboration with the Associate Vice President of
Student Services, the Executive Director of Enrollment Services, the Director of Advising, and college colleagues across all units to deliver innovative and integrated student success and support initiatives. This position has College-wide responsibilities and requires travel to multiple locations, evening, and weekend responsibilities, and provides holistic vision, leadership, and oversight for Athletics, Student Life, Wellness Services, Veteran Services, and Judicial Affairs.

Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:
- Master’s degree required.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in higher education within student services and/or student enrollment services field in a post-secondary institution or related area, including supervision of professional staff and budget experience, preferably in a community college setting.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to leadership development as well as managing and developing all levels of personnel in a complex, dynamic, and fast-paced higher education environment. Demonstrated leadership skills and a commitment to collaboration.
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team through change.
- Understanding of and passion for the community college philosophy and mission.
- Demonstrated experience in project management of scalable institution-wide initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience in collecting and analyzing and reporting statistical data to inform decision-making and organize presentations to individuals and groups.
- Extensive experience in a student services environment, and a strong commitment to customer service with students, colleagues, and community partners.
- Experience in supporting grants, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of comprehensive student databases and proficiency with and in using technology, including Microsoft Office applications, student information systems, CRM, and email, as well as familiarity with federal, state, and intuitional aid programs and regulations.

Student Services Assistant
The Student Services Assistant is responsible for providing support to both new and returning students at the College as part of the College’s mission of access, retention, and completion, with responsibility for ensuring a high level of customer service through support of the Student Services Resource Center, duties at the Student Services Welcome Desk, support of the Enrollment Services Assistants, and providing support in the Testing center. This includes in-person and back-office duties. Service touchpoints will include the use of the following methods: in-person; phone; email; text; online; chat Starfish; Zoom, and other Self-Service systems to support student success.
*Hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, and Saturdays as needed.

Part-Time Temporary Grants Administrator and Coordinator
This position is responsible for managing public and private grants. The Temporary Grants Administrator/Coordinator is responsible for researching and vetting grant opportunities, assisting with grant submissions, managing timelines and deadlines, assisting with grant close-outs, and ensuring compliance with reporting, contracts, regulations, laws, and standards. This individual collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure alignment with grant guidelines. The
Temporary Grants Administrator/Coordinator maintains an ongoing collaboration with related offices to support successful grant implementation. This position reports to the Director of Grants.
*Hourly Range: $27 to $30 per hour (hourly rate is commensurate with experience)

- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A minimum of two years of demonstrated success in public and private grants administration is required.
- Demonstrated experience working with grant management and administration, project management and evaluation, fiscal management, and contract compliance.
- Experience with the Pennsylvania Department of Education is preferred.
- Ability to identify funding opportunities to advance the College’s strategic agenda.
- Ability to interpret simple and complex demographic and statistical information.
- Strong software skills for electronic tracking, prospect research, and electronic grant submission and compliance requirements.
- Sensitivity to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.

Part-Time Reference Librarian
This position provides research support and conducts information literacy instruction sessions and orientations to a diverse population of students and county residents at both the Blue Bell and Pottstown campuses. This position reports to the Director of Libraries
*Hourly Rate: $36.05 per Hour (2024-2025 Faculty Probationary Contract Rate).
*Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings 3-8:00 PM, and every third Saturday
10:00 AM-3:00 PM.
*This position requires the PA Child Abuse, PA State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting clearances before the start date.
Essential Education, Training, Skills, and Work Experience:
- Master’s degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited program.
- At least one year of experience in providing reference and/or instructional services.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with MS Office.
- Strong interest in working with students in an academic environment.
- Experience in an academic or research library environment (preferred).
