The Heritage of Green Hills is hosting two holiday-themed open houses of its spectacular train room.

The public is invited to enjoy the intricate multi-train, multi-track layout created and curated by the senior living community’s residents on Saturday, Dec. 14 and Saturday, Dec. 21 from 10 AM-2 PM.

The display is an ever-evolving labor of love featuring some of the area’s favorite landmarks, including the Reading Fairgrounds Racetrack, Reading Pagoda, William Penn Memorial Fire Tower, and Pomeroy’s Department Store.

Elves will serve cocoa and holiday treats at the family-friendly event.

“We’re thrilled to be able to invite the public to our train room open house,” said Doug Walther, Executive Director at The Heritage of Green Hills. “Visiting the Heritage train room is a holiday tradition for many families, and this year, we’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces and new ones, too!”

The Heritage of Green Hills, a buzzing community on 80 sprawling acres in Berks County, is located at 200 Tranquility Lane in Shillington.
