Several local celebrities shed all of their clothing in an attempt to get you to vote, writes Aliya Schneider for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Robin Robinson, a Bucks County internet celebrity with over two million followers on social media, recently posed in front of the camera in nothing but her spanx for the Vote Naked Bucks County video ad.
In the commercial, wearing pearl earrings and bright red lipstick with bold hexagonal glasses to match, Robinson reaches into a refrigerator, shoulders bare, and says to the camera with a smile: “This year there is no reason to get dressed to vote. You can vote naked.”
She is not talking about sending in a naked ballot (faulty mail ballot not enclosed in the required secrecy envelope), but voting from home, naked.
The ads, paid for by the Turn Bucks Blue political action committee, urge viewers to head to BucksVotes.org to apply to vote by mail.
Other local celebrities taking part in the commercials include local theater extraordinaire John Augustine, Kevin Aster Young, Ari Spectorman, Nastasha Raisley, and Sarah Harrison.
The ads will run until the October 29 deadline to request a mail ballot.
