JBC Associates: Pioneering Infrastructure with Woman-Led Leadership in Montgomery County
King of Prussia-based JBC Associates has been busy in the past several years working on major infrastructure projects along I-95 as well as at Philadelphia International Airport, as well as other large thoroughfares throughout the region, writes Lisa Dukart for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Those projects have proved to be a major boost to the business of the woman-owned construction management firm. The company recorded a two-year average growth of nearly 16 percent from 2021 to 2023. Its revenue grew from $10.31 million to $13.82 million in that period.
Last year, the company was involved in the emergency rebuild of the part of I-95 that collapsed in Philadelphia after a fuel tanker explosion. JBC Associates performed construction inspection for the project that managed to reestablish traffic in under two weeks.
“We were the eyes and ears for PennDOT,” said JBC Associates CEO Janet Cunningham.
The firm, which employs 75, continued construction inspection for the permanent rebuild as well, which reopened earlier this year.
This year, JBC Associates made the list of fastest-growing companies in Greater Philadelphia at No. 42.
