Flipping Farms, a reality television series that restores old, rundown farms to proper working conditions is filming in GIlbertsville.

A local father-daughter duo, Jeff Peiffer and Rachel Trettin, are bringing a unique renovation reality show, Flipping Farms, to life in Gilbertsville, reports Justin Backover for 69 News.

The show follows Gilbertsville’s Peiffer and Trettin as they restore old farms. The first season centers around a run-down horse farm that they transform into a functional horse-boarding facility.

“We bring it back up to livable standards in the house and also in the barn so this is a renovation show but it’s also not just a house renovation. It’s more centered on the property and the outbuildings,” said Trettin.

Peiffer added, “Humor is the number-one feature of what we do. We wanted to be family wholesome, just fun.”

The show’s producer-director, Gabriel Wren, highlighted the welcoming atmosphere of the town and confirmed that Flipping Farms is under contract for eight episodes, set to air on major streaming platforms in March 2025. Writer-producer Dion Sheehan noted that the cast’s big personalities are key to the show’s appeal.

Trettin expressed her excitement about merging family and business, calling it “a blessing.”
