Weckerly’s Ice Cream opened a new location in King of Prussia and is offering free scoops of ice cream to new customers.

Weckerly’s opened a second shop in King of Prussia and celebrates with free treats, reports Kristin Hunt for The Philly Voice.

A Fishtown favorite, Weckerly’s Ice Cream has moved out to the suburbs. Its second location is now located near the Nordstrom in the King of Prussia Mall. As a special launch event, Weckerly’s promises a free scoop of ice cream to their first 100 customers on Thursday, September 19. The event will take place from 6-9 PM.

Though the launch is still ahead, the new store is currently open and serving ice cream to shoppers.

The new location will be open 7 days a week, keeping regular mall hours. They will have 12 rotating flavors for scoops and ice cream sandwiches. They will also offer seasonal varieties like pumpkin spice latte ice cream with layers of coffee and pumpkin bourbon ice cream.

The second store is welcome news to fans of the ice cream. In 2023, the original owners announced that they planned to close after 11 years of service. Shortly after, new owner Cristina Torres took over the ice creamery.

Mark your calendars for September 19 to get your free scoop.
