Pet Medic Offers Relief for Furry Friends in King of Prussia
Veterinary urgent care Pet Medic opened in King of Prussia, report Stephanie Stahl and Brad Nau for CBS News.
The urgent care offers an alternative to local pet owners who need quick medical assistance that might not necessitate the veterinary hospital. The facilities treats things like a cough or infection.
Pet Medic’s practice manager, Melanie Weiner warns that for serious illness or injury, pet owners should still go to the hospital. “That’s what the E.R. is for,” she said.
The pet urgent-care runs exactly like a human urgent care, providing quick relief to its patients. The patients aren’t the only ones to benefit from their support. The facility also helps to unload work from overburdened veterinary hospitals in the area.
The practice has two full time veterinarians working seven days a week to handle walk-ins and appointments. Treatment can be more expensive than a traditional hospital visit, but can be worth it in a pinch. It is more often still cheaper than an emergency visit to a hospital.
