Ranking the Montgomery County Towns with Surging Home Values in 2024

While the housing market has grown tumultuous in recent years, some towns are more affected than others. Stacker reports that these Montco towns have seen their homes leap in value due to higher mortgage rates and new home price tags.

Flourtown

The average price of a Flourtown home is $578,520. That’s up 5.6 percent from last year and 43.3 percent from five years ago.

Ambler

The average home in Ambler in 2024 is $632,345. That’s an annual increase of 5.8 percent and up 50.1 percent from five years ago.

Dresher

Dresher homes sell for an average of $648,637 in 2024. That’s up 6.0 percent from 2023 and 40.2 percent from 2019.

Blue Bell

Blue Bell homes are up 4.5 percent this year, selling at an average of $662,098. That’s a 45.8 percent increase from five years ago.

Fort Washington

An average home in Fort Washington in 2024 sells for  $713,427. That’s an annual increase of 4.8 percent and up 44.3 percent from five years ago.

Wynnewood

In 2024, the average Wynnewood home goes for $728,313. That’s up 6.5 percent from 2023 and 49 percent from 2019.

Narberth

An average Narberth home will cost you $766,576 this year. That’s 8.3 percent from last year and 45.6 percent from five years ago

Bryn Mawr

Bryn Mawr saw the fifth-highest increase in home prices. This year a typical home goes for $837,464. That’s up 6.5 percent from last year and 49.7 percent from five years ago.
