Longwood Gardens Gets Ready for Wine & Jazz Festival Next Weekend

On Sept. 13 and 14, Longwood Gardens will host the annual Wine & Jazz Festival in Kennett Square with plenty of music and drinks to enjoy.

On Sept. 13 and 14, Longwood Gardens will host the annual Wine & Jazz Festival, writes Michaela Althouse for Philly Voice.  

On Friday, Sept. 13 at 6:30 PM, the Kennett Square horticultural center will host the Wine & Jazz All-Stars, featuring artists from the Open Air Theatre. On Saturday, September 14 from 2-9 p.m., festival attendees can stroll through the luscious gardens, while listening to the soothing sounds of jazz and enjoying wine and beer. The night will end with an illuminated fountain performance.  

Longwood Gardens has been hosting the Wine & Jazz Festival since 2007. This year, vendors include 1723 Vineyards, After the Fall Cider, the Inn at Grace Winery, J&P Winery, Nissley Vineyards, Paradocx Vineyard, Penn Woods Winery, and more. 

The musical lineup includes vocalist Dianne Reeves, alto saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin, pianist López-Nussa, the Dale Melton Trio, the High and Mighty Brass Band, and more. The musicians will play in the orchard, open-air theater, beer garden, and Pumphouse Plaza.  

Tickets, which include all-day entrance and reserved concert seating, are $49 for the Wine & Jazz All-Stars show and are $65 for Saturday’s festival. For two-day tickets, the price is $97.
