Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts revealed that he and his long-time girlfriend Bry Burrows are now engaged, writes Victoria Uwumarogie for Essence.

The couple met while they were studying at the University of Alabama. Hurts was the school’s star quarterback, while Burrows was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha.

They began dating on and off since then before going public with their relationship in 2023.

Hurts has gone on record speaking about his feeling for his new fiancé and how special she is. Moreover, proposing was only a matter of time.

“I knew a long time ago,” he said. “I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.”

During the Eagles’ season opener against the Green Bay Packers in São Paulo, Brazil, on September 6, a lot was made when Burrows showed up to the game with a massive rock on her ring finger.

Now, the cat is out of the bag and the two have announced to the world that they are engaged.
